US UCC приобретатель документарной или бездокументарной ценной бумаги либо интереса в отношении такой ценной бумаги, который: (1) приобретает ценную бумагу за плату; (2) не уведомлен о каком-либо праве третьего лица в отношении ценной бумаги; и (3) получает контроль над документарной или бездокументарной ценной бумагой; Помимо приобретения прав приобретателя, защищенный приобретатель приобретает также свой интерес в отношении ценной бумаги свободным от какого-либо права третьего лица. (данный термин используется в редакции Коммерческого Кодекса (UCC) 1994 г.; в прежних редакциях Кодекса используется термин "добросовестный приобретатель")
